Within the financial services industry, Sunny Patpatia is a recognized leader in the financial services industry in the reorientation of firms, taking advantage of emerging wealth management and asset aggregation opportunities through the implementation of focused distribution, product and infrastructure initiatives. He launched his consulting practice in 1992 to apply his depth of corporate development and operational expertise to help senior managers transform their businesses.

Working with clients as diverse as Lehman Brothers, UBS PaineWebber, Fidelity, SunAmerica, and MetLife, he has applied his unique integration of strategic marketing, distribution channel management, and operational redesign to brokerage, asset management, trust services, financial & advanced planning, insurance, and retirement services. He is also a contributor to a number of publications, including Institutional Investor and On Wall Street, providing insight into the impact of market trends on the future shape of financial institutions.

Prior to founding Patpatia & Associates, Sunny was at The Charles Schwab Corporation, where he was responsible for strategy formulation, implementation, and the launch of the following businesses:

Additionally, he helped foster the growth of Schwab's Financial Advisor Services business and served as the founding President and Chief Fiduciary Officer of The Charles Schwab Trust Company.

Sunny held several senior positions at the Union Bank of California, where he was responsible for managing the $35 billion asset nationwide Trust Services organization, in addition to serving as president of the Highmark family of mutual funds. In Canada, he previously held positions at the Bank of Montreal and the Royal Bank of Canada.

He received his undergraduate and Master's degrees in management from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
